About Chocolate

Is dark chocolate healthy?

Dark chocolate contains antioxidants and generally less sugar than milk chocolate. In general, the higher the cacao percentage, the lower the sugar content. That said, chocolate should still be enjoyed as a treat and part of a balanced lifestyle.

Where does cacao come from?

Cacao grows in tropical regions around the world. The cacao used in our chocolate is single origin, from Papua New Guinea.

What is the difference between dark and milk chocolate?

Dark chocolate contains a higher percentage of cacao and no milk, giving it a richer and more intense flavour. Milk chocolate is softer, creamier and sweeter.

Why does chocolate sometimes develop a white layer?

No worries — your chocolate hasn’t gone bad :) That little white layer is called “chocolate bloom” (or fat blooming). It can happen when chocolate experiences temperature changes or a bit too much humidity during its journey. The appearance may look slightly different, but the chocolate is still perfectly fine, and still good to eat.

What is single origin chocolate?

Single origin means the cacao comes from one specific, clearly defined place. It gives us full traceability back to the source and lets the character of that origin really shine through in the flavour.
